S/o Nicholas Esq. (~1593) of Lee, Kent. M.Audrey (~1591) d/o Robert Tirrell Esq. of Burbrooke. Issue: No sons. Grace Ldy Wildgoose, Christian Ldy Sandys, Cordelia Ldy Harvey. Of Lewisham, JP 1596. In 1603 the two elder daughters tried to have Sir Brian declared insane with adminstration of his estate to Ldy Wildgoose's husband. Their youngest sister Cordelia (to marry Sir William Harvey of Kidbrooke) wrote to Sir Robert Cecil pleading that he should be left in peace. When he died in 1604 his overseer was Sir William Hervey and he left almost everything to Cordelia, his executrix. (Plot inspiration for King Lear performed 26 Dec 1606)
